In July of 2016 volunteers from Homes For Youth gathered together to renovate and furnish what is now a Licensed Foster Home serving children referred by Henderson County DSS. In May of 2017 the home was opened and now welcomes up to five foster children under the care of experienced foster parents. Homes for Youth's primary goal is to maintain the home for sibling groups and support the foster parents overseeing it.

Our Foster Home allows children to remain in their home schools and complete the school year successfully.  Click here for some stories of how our home has had an impact on our youth.

Homes For Youth is working to spread the word about the ever-present need for foster parents.  We encourage the community to learn more about fostering a child.  We have hosted Information Events and would be delighted to host one for your church or group.  To request more information or to schedule an event, please contact us…

Our support continues as foster parents take the training required.  A series of weekly classes is taught by DSS help to prepare perspective foster parents.  We assist by providing space, meals, and on site childcare for families attending these after work classes.  We are always looking for new Church partners.  If your church would like to get involved please contact us…

Homes For Youth also provides needed items to the Foster Parent Supply Closet.  Large ticket items are frequently needed at a moment's notice when an emergency placement arises.  We are proud to have assisted in supplying cribs and car seats.
